Destin Beach FL

When I was 15, I took a trip to Destin Beach FL, with my youth group from church. Destin Beach is one of the Panhandle Beaches of Florida.
First, we stopped at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola which has many interesting planes, facts, and information about naval planes. This was a great experience and admission prices were really reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place to veterans, war history buffs, schools, and families alike.
Later that day, we drove to Destin Beach. I have been to many beaches before, but this was the first place where I have ever experienced white sugar sands and a beautiful turquoise shore. I was amazed at how crystal clear the ocean water was.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn, located directly on the beach. Our rooms were overlooking the beach and it was truly an amazing experience waking up to such beautiful sunrises! The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. We spent 2 days doing nothing but enjoying Destin Beach.
It was a very family friendly place and suitable for children and adults. We were able to play baseball, frisbee, and run on the beach without too much of a crowd (we went in early June). The weather was perfect and it was truly difficult leaving this very relaxed atmosphere.
The prices for most things at this Florida beach, were pretty reasonable compared to other beaches. I would definitely say prices are much more reasonable than the Miami and Orlando areas of the state. We ate at Fudpucker’s Restaurant, which serves hamburgers and seafood. While the food was good, it was a little overpriced and a little overcrowded for my taste. However, it is a popular tourist attraction that many people enjoy.
Dewey Destin’s is also a great place to eat for great seafood. The staff is friendly, the prices are decent, and the food is excellent! For great shopping and exploring, I would recommend Harborwalk Village at Emerald Grande. It is a beautiful place to visit directly on the beach and offers really great shops!
If you are looking for a pristine, affordable, family-friendly beach, I would highly recommend Destin Beach. It is less of a tourist trap then many of the other Florida beaches and therefore less crowded. I plan to revisit many times in my life as it has become one of my favorite destinations. In fact, I am in the process of relocating to Florida, and Destin Beach is on the top of my list!
