The Marco Beach Ocean Resort is a very distinctive, up-scale Marco Island hotel.

This resort boasts a stunning Mediterranean-style lobby and entrance.

The suites are well-appointed, spacious and elegantly decorated.

Here are a few of the things I loved about this Marco Island hotel, which made my stay extra special!

The gorgeous all-marble bathroom and showers.
Kitchen facilities for cooking. It’s great to have the option to cook, if you wish.
Our suite was at ‘garden terrace’ level, allowing us access to the pool, which was very close by, and access to our own private terrace at ground level, great for enjoying morning coffee or lunch.
The beds were extremely comfortable, with beautiful top quality bedding and pillows.
Boardwalk access to the Marco Island beach. Great spot to watch the sunsets.
Pool-side Bar. Happy Hour drinks are 2 for 1, 4pm-6pm. My favorite drink is the ‘Dirty Banana’.
Central Marco Island location. Easy access to Collier Blvd., which is the main access road for the resorts in Marco Island.
The Spa’s hot stone massage.

If I had one complaint, it would be that there was ‘no nightlife’ whatsoever at this resort. I would have enjoyed a drink on the pool terrace after dark, or SOMETHING but there wasn’t anything to do!

On the bright side, the ‘lack of nightlife’ made for extremely quiet nights at this resort.

Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa

The Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa is also a beachfront resort which offers plenty of recreational activities.

I am a Hilton Honors member, which allows me to collect points each time I stay at a Hilton Hotel anywhere in the world. (I recommend getting a ‘membership points’ card. No charge for the card.)

I was able to use my accumulated points for my stay, which gave me several ‘free nights’ and I loved that!

Things I loved about the Hilton:

shopping directly across the street, within walking distance, Chico’s, large beach-wear and beach supply store, and a great ice cream shop.
a great pool for both kids and adults. The kids will literally ‘live’ in the pool all day long.
beach cabanas
fitness center and tennis courts
poolside bar and café. The food is great and the portions are generous.
ground level suite availability for convenient access to pool, lobby and parking.
beautiful rooms with mahogany, marble fixtures

I would highly recommend this resort for families. It is certainly is kid-friendly and has an awesome pool and very handy beach access.

I didn't like the 'extra charge' for parking and for internet use. However, the business center has free internet and PC’s available for use.

Upon occasion, this hotel offers some fabulous rates, sometimes up to half the cost of other comparable Marco Island hotels!

The Marriott is another exquisite luxury hotel on Marco. An excellent choice for a family or a romantic beach vacation in Florida.

Captain Brien's Seafood and Raw Bar....located right across the street from the Marco Beach Ocean Resort, the Hilton Marco Island, and the Marriott.

MichelBob's Ribs....Take-out only at this location. Try their world famous ribs... They are INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS!

I would highly recommend a beachfront resort location for your stay in Marco Island.

Most of the beachfront resorts have good access to the beach.

The white sugary sand beaches of Marco Island are truly beautiful to enjoy at any time of day, but are particularly delightful for early morning walks to watch the dolphins and gather shells, or an evening walk to watch the sunset in all it's glory over the Gulf of Mexico.
